Are they too cheap to obtain, answer no. Although contenders for #1 spot in MATs should already have fancy armor and weapons on multiple characters.

People who don't care about money (i.e. the GvGers who got obsi armor from farming with their monk) wouldn't

As someone within striking distance of PvP obsidian armor and planning to get them by the end of the next mAT, I must not have a brain after all. I always suspected it.

Sure 4500 points are a lot. But you'll only get that amount after winning the GvG....like 8 people a month.
What do you want? Make the armor more expensive so those 8/month can only get 1 set of Fancy Armor, and screw over the rest of the players?

This thread is really not warranted. PvP players have a MUCH harder time getting prestige armor.

Look at the calculation on the bottom!
Yes, the 4500 are only for the number one. But the number two gets what? Taking one of the calculations from the wiki page:
For example, if 40 people played in an HvH daily tournament, the top 10 winners (25% of the finishers, 10 out of 40) would receive the following amount of points:
first place: 100%
second place: 90% and so on
Now take enough participants to get 20 winners:
first place: 100%
second place: 95%
100 winners = 400 participants:
second place: 99% = 4455 TRP
So the more players participate the more winners exist and the more points the follow ups get.

To the above post, that's idiotic. The most guilds that have ever turned out for a monthly AT is in the 70s.

14 winners. 33750 Total points over all winning guilds. Assume 8 players per guild.
TOTAL ADDITIONAL TRP: 33750*8 = 337 complete sets of Obsidian

If it doesn't give them an advantage in battle, I'm not going to care if they get easier access to nicer armours.

dude u gotta look at it in terms of opportunity cost. Now 5 trp = 5k, before the zaishen title 5 trp = 3k, and even before that 5 trp had no effective conversion into money.
Basically now.. you win a tournament, you get veryvery rich =P

That means you have 3500 point left to get Fancy armor. Looking at the costs that means you can get 70 pieces of Fancy armor, 17.5 pieces of Obsidian and 46.6 pieces of Vaabian. Each armor has a max of 5 pieces to be complete.
